Testimonials

"Thanks to Abby and Fitness is Medicine for bringing me back from two knee replacements and 12 years of inactivity! Due to other medical conditions, I was afraid to resume working out on my own. After finishing physical therapy for my second knee replacement, I was fortunate enough to start training with Abby.

Having had trainers in the past, I wanted someone who could do more than shout out my reps. (I still can count to 15 on my own!) I needed someone who could work with me to tailor a program that wouldn’t aggravate my injuries, but also would challenge me.

Abby carefully began a program personalized for me. She gently coached and encouraged me in exercise and counseled me on diet. As part of her program, she tracked my blood pressure, oxygen level, and heart rate.

As a result of her training, my blood pressure has decreased, my weight has decreased, and my resting heart rate has decreased. The only things that have increased are my oxygen levels – and my enthusiasm for the Colorado lifestyle. I have happily returned to activities I thought I never could do again - road cycling, snow shoeing, Nordic skiing, and, best of all, downhill skiing with my husband and friends. Thanks again Abby." *
