5 Tips To Make the Time When Early Morning Exercise Won't Work
Getting up early is hard to do even if you plan on it the night before. Here are a few tips to get that daily burn at other times if early morning exercise just isn’t working for you:
Walk, run, or go to the gym during your lunch break. Pack a lunch that you can eat while working at your desk.
- Schedule a regular time into your calendar. Meetings and other events have a way of filling your day on their own. By setting a regular time, everything else can get scheduled around it.
- Fit in 3-4, 10-minute workouts throughout your day. Research has shown that this method is just as beneficial as one session lasting 30-40 minutes.
- Walk around the block after breakfast.
- Push ups or sit ups between emails or calls.
- Perform some band exercises with your arms around mid-morning.
- Do balance and core exercises after lunch.
- Take a walk around the neighborhood after dinner.
- Join an exercise class. There is a definitive time that the class starts and other people will hold you accountable to being there on time. Plus, it’s fun to exercise and socialize at the same time!
- Make a walking meeting instead of sitting in a room. Exercise will help you think more clearly and likely help you have a more productive meeting.
